at the Courtyard Gallery featuring. Show in aid of the Manx Nature Conservation Trust. Article
featuring artist and  3 original works Nov 1996.

Statement:                 “My work is a tribute to the creatures of the natural world, exploring the miracles of mother nature
in all their glory; Through colour, light, composition and drawing on intensive field study and
observation to detail, I try to capture the heart, sole, beauty and spirit of our furry and feathered
friends for all to enjoy, whilst capturing the magic and atmosphere of their natural environments. In
so doing I hope to raise funds and public awareness of conservation projects and charities
worldwide. Working primarily in acrylics I create atmosphere, expression and realism through many
layers of under painting and glaze work finally culminating in extensive detail work to bring
                           my subjects to life."

-Biography-

The true depiction of wildlife in the natural world is the fundamental essence of the art of Suzanne Fargher, an
artist who is passionate about the conservation and study of her subjects in their natural habitats. Her work is
increasingly sought after and is now in private collections across the UK, US, Canada, Western Europe and Australia.

Born in the small town of Bunbury, Western Australia in August 1975, Suzanne Fargher had a successful career
in finance industry before becoming a professional artist. She has travelled extensively across Europe, South Africa, Asia,
Australasiaand some of the most beautiful and remote areas of the British Isles, particularly the tranquil glens and lochs of
Inverness & The Cairngorms in the Scottish highlands.

After emigrating to the UK from Perth, Australia in 1985, Suzanne  spent the following few years studying art at A-Level and
National Diploma level specialising in fine art and illustration. More recently she moved to the Isle of Man in 1992 where she
now lives with her husband Kris and her beloved horse ‘Fern’; drawing artistic inspiration from the stunning Manx countryside
steeped in Myth and Legend, abundant with wildlife and fauna and bordered by a dramatic coastline and the raw Irish Sea.

Suzanne has tackled a varied selection of exhibitions, public and private commission work, including commercial illustration,
promotional posters, murals and Knitwear design and more recently written, illustrated and released a book entitled ‘In a
Whisper, A Trick Horse Training Manual.’

Although currently working towards her debut solo exhibition, she is an active member of several art associations including
The Isle of Man Art Society, The Mannin Art Group, The Society of Equestrian Artists and The Wildlife Art Society. Her
work to date has enjoyed a number of articles in local press, the most recent article in the Manx Independent recounted the
preview evening of the Mannin Art Groups ‘Nature in the Reserves’ exhibition at the Courtyard Gallery St John’s in Nov 1996.
The show was in aid of the Manx Nature Conservation Trust, Suzanne was the featured artist and included 3 original works.
